Software Engineering Manager, Space Protection Programs

What you'll do

• Lead software development teams using performance metrics to manage schedules and deliveries.
• Drive technical strategy alignment between Lockheed Martin Space and SPP product execution.
• Define release trains and lead program scheduling efforts for multiple programs.
• Manage peer review processes to provide objective evidence of program health.
• Oversee software problem reporting system to drive process improvements and quality enhancements.
• Coordinate requirements, data inputs, and test cases with engineering teams.
• Perform Control Account Manager responsibilities including cost and schedule performance management.

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated leadership experience in software engineering for mission-critical domains.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Experience managing complex multi-program software development efforts.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and grow technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with peers and customers.
• Minimum BS degree in a related technical discipline and relevant leadership experience.
• Prior Spacecraft Flight Software development experience preferred.
