As an eFX Developer within State Street’s Global Technology Services organization, you will join a team dedicated to driving digital transformation and expanding business capabilities. Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing high-volume transactional systems, designing highly available distributed systems using Java, and working closely with various teams across different locations to deliver solutions in an Agile environment. You will leverage your technical skills to analyze requirements, propose suitable solutions, and manage small to medium projects from inception to completion. The role requires proficiency in Java, application development, Oracle Database, Git/GitHub, Python, and analytical thinking, while experience with financial products is a plus. This position offers a supportive learning environment where you can deepen your expertise and contribute to the company’s globally distributed eFX platform used for real-time algorithmic trading.
Develop high volume transactional systems for the eFX platform.
Design and implement highly available distributed systems using Java programming.
Analyze requirements and propose suitable technical solutions in an Agile environment.
Communicate with cross-functional teams, including senior management and developers.
Take ownership of small to medium projects from inception to completion.
Work closely with business users and other technical teams for project delivery.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field required.
Proficient in Java programming and application development.
Experience with Oracle Database and Git/GitHub version control systems.
Strong analytical thinking and software development lifecycle understanding.
Effective communication skills for collaboration across diverse teams globally.
Agile project management experience, including ownership of small to medium projects.
