We are seeking a lead software engineer with extensive experience in developing and maintaining large-scale data infrastructure for enterprise clients. This role involves providing technical leadership on the Data Engineering and Data Delivery team, which is crucial for delivering critical financial data to support business operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing scalable data pipelines using Azure, DataBricks, and Snowflake, conducting code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with global teams to ensure reliable AI/ML model features and high-quality data delivery. The ideal candidate will also optimize cost structures, manage overnight processing of investment accounting data, and perform root cause analysis for data issues. Required skills include a strong background in cloud-based DW solutions, experience with AI-enabled programming, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Provide technical leadership in architecture and system design for cloud-based DW solutions.
Design and maintain scalable data pipelines on Azure, DataBricks, and Snowflake.
Collaborate with engineers to deliver reliable AI/ML models and high-quality data sets.
Support implementation teams by providing platform accelerators and design patterns.
Automate release engineering processes for code distribution across client regions.
What we're looking for
At least 8 years of experience in software engineering with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Proven ability to design and maintain scalable data pipelines on Azure, DataBricks, and Snowflake.
Expertise in providing technical leadership for architecture, system design, code quality, and mentoring.
Experience in release engineering automation and optimizing total cost of ownership for cloud infrastructure.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on AI-enabled programming and multi-tasking.
Ability to support implementation teams by creating platform accelerators and design patterns.
Hands-on experience in production/support for overnight processing of investment accounting data.
