We are seeking an experienced Application Developer (Assistant Vice President) to join our Regulatory Reporting team in Boston. This role involves designing and developing scalable solutions for regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions as part of a migration from on-premise platforms to AWS cloud, using technologies like Databricks and Spark. You will collaborate closely with business and technical teams to build data pipelines and processing frameworks, guide teams on optimal use of cloud services, and contribute hands-on to application development across backend and data layers. The ideal candidate has strong experience in large-scale data processing, enterprise system integration, and financial services regulatory reporting, along with proficiency in Scala, Java, or Python, AWS cloud services, Databricks, Spark, and CI/CD practices.
Design and develop scalable solutions for regulatory reporting across jurisdictions.
Build and integrate enterprise applications as part of AWS cloud migration initiatives.
Develop data pipelines and processing frameworks using Databricks, Spark, and SQL.
Guide teams on optimal use of cloud services for performance, scalability, and cost.
Take ownership of the full SDLC, from development through production deployment.
What we're looking for
7+ years of software/application development experience
Strong programming skills in Scala, Java, or Python
Experience with AWS cloud services and Databricks, Apache Spark
Hands-on involvement in application integration and microservices architecture
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
Ability to work effectively in a multi-location agile environment
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
