As a Software Engineer, Watch Software, you will join the Apple Watch Setup Experiences team to develop and polish the out-of-box experience for users. What you'll do

Develop and polish the out-of-box experience and device pairing for Apple Watch users.
Build and maintain features for Control Center, the Settings app, and Device Finding experiences.
Create onboarding flows for new features across watchOS and iOS platforms.
Develop high-performance software solutions tailored to the constraints of low-power mobile devices.
Architect robust and maintainable systems using Swift, Objective-C, SwiftUI, and other relevant languages.
Optimize applications, widgets, and daemons while debugging throughout the entire system stack.
Ensure full test coverage by coordinating with QA and automation teams to meet quality standards.

What we're looking for

BS CE/CS or equivalent experience.
5+ years of related experience.
Excellent Swift and Objective-C coding ability.
Ability to learn various programming languages including SwiftUI, Assembly, Python, C, and ML technologies.
Experience contributing to at least one shipping application or framework.
Operating Systems knowledge and hands-on experience with inter-process communication.
Experience optimizing applications, widgets, daemons, and profiling/debugging throughout the stack (preferred).
A strong intuition for UI/UX design (preferred).
