Software Engineer III - FULL STACK joins the Operations team to support the sophisticated order journey flow for a major retailer. This role involves creating and owning a monitoring framework that interfaces with various applications while supporting new features and service launches. You will build and maintain applications using AI tools for deployment and operations, develop code to automate manual tasks, and improve systems through analytics and ad hoc reporting. You will work with SQL and no-SQL databases including MongoDB, MS SQL, Cassandra, Cosmos DB, and Elastic. Technical experience includes Kafka, Megacache, Couchbase, Open observe, Grafana, Kibana, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker within a predictive analytics platform.

What you'll do

  • Create and own the monitoring framework that interfaces with various applications.
  • Build and maintain applications using AI tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
  • Develop efficient code to automate repetitive and manual tasks using AI tools.
  • Monitor, support, and deploy multi-tenant solutions and new application features.
  • Identify and troubleshoot system issues while taking proactive steps to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide on-call support to help customers and the business recover from impacting situations.
  • Improve systems and applications through monitoring, analytics, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Provide accurate analytics to business partners to empower correct business decisions.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area.
  • 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area (if holding a Bachelor's degree).
  • 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area (if not holding a Bachelor's degree).
  • Programming expertise in Java 8 and Spring boot 2.0.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning algorithms.
  • Experience with SQL and no-SQL databases such as MongoDB, MS SQL, Cassandra, Cosmos DB, AZURE SQL, and Elastic.
  • Experience with Kafka, Megacache, Couchbase, Open Observe, Grafana, Kibana, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Retail industry experience specifically in warehouse management operations (preferred).
  • e-Commerce experience (preferred).
