As a Software Engineer – Contact Center Applications - Intermediate Level, you will join the Member Service Representative Performance and Analytics team within the Contact Center Technologies department. Your daily work involves designing, coding, and testing technical solutions to improve platform capabilities for a multi-channel contact center. You will use Java, SQL, and cloud technologies to resolve production issues and deliver features. The role requires troubleshooting applications, managing risks, and ensuring compliance. You will work to improve the measurement of representative behaviors and interactions with members, utilizing tools like Spring Boot, Kafka, REST API, React, Selenium, Cypress, and GitLab Pipelines.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, code, and test technical solutions for contact center applications.
  • Write code to deliver new features and regular system improvements.
  • Investigate and resolve technical problems and production issues using troubleshooting techniques.
  • Conduct systems analysis to recommend changes in policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and install solutions by designing system specifications and programming standards.
  • Manage the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Identify and monitor risks to ensure compliance with business policies and procedures.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree, 4 years of relevant education or experience, or an approved certification from CodeUp, Galvenize, VetFIT, or eFIT.
  • 2 years of software development experience specific to Java.
  • 1 year of experience delivering technology solutions in all phases of the software systems and application development lifecycle.
  • Basic understanding of one or more of the following: Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, or SQL.
  • Knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting applications and systems within production issues.
  • Basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools.
  • Experience with Java API/Batch Jobs (Spring Boot, Kafka, REST API), JavaScript UI Development (React) (preferred).
  • Experience with NiCE Performance Management, NiCE Quality Central, vendor SaaS integration, Selenium/Cypress, SQL Server, Git/GitLab, SAFe Agile, or military experience (preferred).
