Software Engineer, AML, AI & Data Platforms

What you'll do

• Develop and deploy innovative AI models and systems to enhance the performance of Apple's products and services.
• Build robust, scalable ML infrastructure including data storage, processing, and model serving components for production environments.
• Create frameworks for feature engineering, data augmentation, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning across specific domains.
• Design and implement automated ML pipelines for preprocessing, training, hyper-parameter tuning, and model evaluation.
• Apply advanced model compression and optimization techniques to reduce the resource footprint of large language models.
• Develop intelligent systems to democratize AI capabilities across a wide range of internal solutions.
• Manage full lifecycle operations including model monitoring and refresh management in production environments.

What we're looking for

• BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
• 3+ years of machine learning engineering experience in feature engineering, model training, model serving, model monitoring, and model refresh management.
• Experience developing AI/ML systems at scale in production or high-impact research environments.
• Passionate about computer vision and natural language processing, especially in LLMs and Generative AI systems.
• Knowledge of common frameworks and tools such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience in anomaly detection and forecasting & related methodologies (preferred).
• Experience and proficiency in Python and writing efficient SQLs (preferred).
• Strong coding skills and familiarity with software engineering principles like testing, code reviews, and deployment (preferred).
