As a Software Engineer, AI Satellites (Starmind), you will join the Starmind team to develop the reliable software stack required for satellites that capture solar energy to power high-performance AI compute on Earth. You will own the full lifecycle of software development, including design, testing, and support, while building real-time software for gateways, satellites, user terminals, and switches within a low-latency global network. Your daily work involves leading architecture reviews, developing prototypes to prove design concepts, and creating tools for data analysis and test execution across virtualized and hardware-in-the-loop environments. The role requires proficiency in C, C++, or assembly, along with experience in Linux environments, distributed systems architecture, and networking protocols like UDP and TCP/IP. What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science; OR 2+ years of professional software development experience (including internships).
Development experience in C, C++, or assembly.
Experience with application development and distributed systems architecture in a Linux environment.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to meet ITAR requirements.
Strong professional experience writing C, C++ or assembly in a production environment (preferred).
Experience with networking protocols (UDP, TCP/IP) and distributed systems (preferred).
Knowledge of real-time rendering, game engine development, physics simulation, or other high-performance computing (preferred).
Experience with security issues associated with distributed systems and internet services (preferred).
