Software Engineer 5, Ads Forecasting and Simulation

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain end-to-end inventory forecasting, underwriting, and simulation systems.
• Build highly efficient, scalable distributed systems to handle large volumes of advertising data.
• Productionize machine learning models and optimization algorithms in collaboration with the science team.
• Build high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems using big data tools like Spark.
• Create simulation tools to support experimentation, analytics, scenario planning, and pricing use cases.
• Ensure ad serving flows account for constraints like frequency capping, targeting, and publisher policies.
• Develop cloud-based applications using modern object-oriented programming languages.

What we're looking for

• Professional experience building sophisticated ads forecasting systems involving ML models and high-performance ad server simulation.
• Proven experience handling extremely large data volumes with big data tools like Spark.
• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems using big data.
• General understanding of the advertising marketplace and landscape, specifically focusing on ad serving flow.
• Experience developing cloud-based applications using modern programming languages (preferably object-oriented).
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive large and complex projects.
• Good understanding of Lucene index and experience building and querying it with large volumes of data (preferred).
• Experience productionizing and deploying ML models at scale (preferred).
