Software Engineer 4, Backend Services

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain highly performant and scalable platform capabilities for AI-assisted creation and publishing.
• Implement AI-supported engineering methods to accelerate development, design, and production readiness.
• Convert generative and multimodal AI features into dependable, production-level experiences for a global user base.
• Build evaluation loops using automated benchmarks, human review, and product analytics to measure quality and safety.
• Manage services for AI features including observability, latency, scalability, cost, and fallback behaviors.
• Provide product recommendations based on analytics, user research, and community feedback to improve usability.
• Mentor other engineers and share knowledge to improve team standards and engineering quality.

What we're looking for

• B.S. or above degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of proven experience building and maintaining high performance and scalable web services.
• High fluency in data structures, algorithms, data modeling, and schema design.
• Profound knowledge of web technologies, cloud services, and large scale web application design.
• Excellent coding skills in Java/Spring Boot, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with AI-supported software development tools and designing systems around nondeterministic components.
• Operational experience running publicly available cloud services and AWS deployment/management services.
• Experience with model gateways, prompt management, inference optimization, or creative tools (preferred).
