With a strong background in problem-solving and analytical skills, you will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of our mainframe systems, ensuring they operate at peak performance within a large-scale financial environment. Familiarity with IDz for managing source code is beneficial but not required.
Define and fulfill solutions requirements for end users using Cobol, DB2, JCL, VSAM.
Implement agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles in project management.
Analyze and debug mainframe source code using IDz (IBM Developer for z/OS).
Communicate processes and results with product team members including engineers and customers.
Design efficient algorithms and data structures to optimize system performance and scalability.
Manage version control, branching, and CI/CD processes in GitLab for mainframe DevOps pipelines.
What we're looking for
3-5 years of relevant experience in software development.
Proficient in Cobol, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
