Additionally, you will employ AI-assisted engineering tools for code generation and refactoring while ensuring high standards for security, testing, and observability. This role solves critical technical challenges in modernizing legacy payment platforms into resilient, high-volume transactional systems.

What you'll do

Design and develop cloud-native microservices and APIs using C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure.
Translate business requirements into structured functional and technical specifications using specification-driven development.
Build solutions for transaction processing, including idempotency, retries, error handling, and asynchronous processing.
Implement data-access patterns using Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Redis.
Develop event-driven integrations using Azure Service Bus and Azure Event Hubs.
Apply application security patterns including token-based authentication, authorization, and secrets management.
Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate code generation, refactoring, and test generation throughout the SDLC.
Develop automated unit, integration, and API tests to ensure high engineering quality.

What we're looking for

You must possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
6+ years of professional software development experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade applications.
4+ years of hands-on C#/.NET development experience, preferably building APIs, microservices, or distributed backend services (preferred).
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application development.
Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservice-based architectures, and relational database designs using SQL.
Experience with distributed application concepts, messaging/event-driven architectures, and CI/CD DevOps practices.
Experience using AI-assisted software engineering tools and specification-driven development practices.
