What you'll do

Optimize planning and simulation methods to convert satellite geometry and demand into capacity and coverage plans.
Make large-scale problems tractable using decomposition, precomputation, caching, and parallelism.
Build and operate high-performance data and compute infrastructure, including large-scale data stores and columnar queries.
Develop systems that produce trustworthy results by validating outputs against reference implementations.
Lead the system architecture for simulation tooling to make planning methods faster and production-ready.
Contribute to backend services and data pipelines for capacity, demand, pricing, and inventory systems.
Build highly available software services using AWS and provide operational excellence through monitoring and on-call ownership.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred).
Experience working effectively with science, data processing, and software engineering teams (preferred).
Export control laws and regulations, candidates.
