What you'll do

  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs in legacy enterprise systems to ensure operational stability.
  • Maintain and continuously enhance applications using Python and various scripting languages.
  • Upgrade existing systems to meet specific security requirements.
  • Advise clients on strategies for improving and modernizing their current systems.
  • Develop, debug, and test software components against established design specifications.
  • Manage infrastructure and deployments using AWS services and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Process scientific data using specialized Python libraries like NumPy and SciPy.
  • Lead design and code reviews to ensure high-quality software development.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience developing and sustaining Python applications in an Agile environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with real-time, event-driven, distributed, or microservices systems.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services, containerization (Docker), and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with scientific/geospatial Python libraries, source control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines in DevSecOps environments.
  • Ability to lead design and code reviews while collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Experience with statistical methods, Flask, JavaScript, or shell scripting (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree.
