JOB TITLE: SOC Analyst As a Tier III Security Operations Center Analyst, you will join a team of advanced cybersecurity analysts protecting systems for a global trade and supply chain hub. You will perform intelligence-driven threat hunting, malware triage, digital forensics, and network analysis to identify sophisticated cyber threats. Your daily responsibilities include investigating high-priority events, developing and tuning detection use cases, and mentoring Tier I and Tier II analysts. You will utilize Microsoft Sentinel, KQL, and security telemetry across endpoint, network, cloud, and operational technology environments. Required skills include experience with SIEM detection engineering, Python scripting, and knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST SP 800-53, and NIST SP 800-82. This role requires a Secret clearance to manage risks within critical infrastructure and industrial control system environments.

What you'll do

  • Conduct intelligence-driven threat hunting to identify sophisticated cyber threats.
  • Investigate complex, high-priority cybersecurity events and anomalous activity.
  • Perform advanced technical analysis including malware triage, digital forensics, and network analysis.
  • Use Microsoft Sentinel and KQL to analyze security telemetry across endpoint, network, and cloud environments.
  • Develop and tune detection use cases, correlation rules, alerts, and queries.
  • Improve SOC playbooks and investigative processes by identifying false positives and detection gaps.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point and mentor for Tier I and Tier II analysts.
  • Translate complex technical findings into clear risks and recommended actions for stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience with cybersecurity, including SOC operations, incident response, threat hunting, or detection engineering.
  • Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and KQL.
  • Experience with SIEM detection engineering, tuning, and security investigations.
  • Knowledge of malware analysis, digital forensics, networking, and cloud security concepts.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
  • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST SP 800-53, and NIST SP 800-82.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Secret clearance.
