As a cyber SIEM and SOAR engineer on our team, you will play a crucial role in architecting, deploying, and operating security solutions across diverse clients in the Indo-Pacific region. Your responsibilities include monitoring and detecting potential cyber threats using advanced tools like Elastic for visibility and analytics, as well as Palo Alto, Splunk, or Tines for automation. You will optimize event review processes, create standard operating procedures, and mentor junior engineers to enhance their cybersecurity skills. This role requires extensive experience in designing security solutions, knowledge of SIEM and SOAR platforms, and familiarity with cyber event analytics and workflow documentation. Ideal candidates also have a background in federal agency environments, experience with containerization solutions, and understanding of federal information security policies. A secret clearance is mandatory, while additional qualifications such as top-secret clearance or a bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, or engineering are highly desirable.
Design, deploy, and configure security solutions using SIEM tools like Elastic.
Develop standard operating procedures to enhance zero trust security posture.
Optimize automation speed and event review processes with SOAR tools.
Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering teams for enhanced design recommendations.
Mentor cybersecurity engineers in operational playbook development and execution.
What we're looking for
3+ years experience designing, deploying, and configuring security solutions.
Proficiency with SIEM tools like Elastic and SOAR tools including Palo Alto, Splunk.
Experience in cyber event analytics, workflow optimization, and documentation.
Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred.
HS diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or Engineering beneficial.
