As a Senior UI Developer at GDIT, you will join our fully remote Agile team to stabilize legacy applications by enhancing their UI/UX. You’ll work closely with government customers and other developers to create advanced software tools for scientific applications, applying innovative methods and technologies within the EPA’s research environment. Your daily tasks include leading the migration of Vue.js UI components from Nuxt 2 to Nuxt 3, refactoring legacy codebases, and optimizing component state management strategies. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts, and Enterprise Architects to develop dynamic web applications using a fit-for-purpose technology stack, ensuring flexibility and scalability through integration with backend APIs/microservices. Essential skills include production-level experience with Nuxt, Vue.js, JavaScript, Node.js, and strong leadership abilities.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

  • 9+ years of experience in web development and UI/UX design.
  • Expertise in Vue.js, Nuxt.js, JavaScript, and Node.js.
  • Leadership experience in a technical role.
  • Ability to obtain EPA Public Trust Level 4 security clearance.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with refactoring legacy codebases and optimizing component state management.
  • US citizenship required.
