As a Senior Software Developer at GDIT, you will join the US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) team to support DoD intelligence information sharing. You will contribute to an agile digital transformation initiative by implementing ServiceNow capabilities such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, ITBM, SECOPs, and GRC. Your daily tasks include managing and configuring ServiceNow applications, leading code reviews, participating in SCRUM ceremonies, and building customized applications to enhance team capabilities and improve security. You will need experience with ServiceNow development, web technologies like X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, Angular, JavaScript, PHP, .NET, Java, or ColdFusion, as well as intermediate knowledge of software engineering principles and hardware/software systems. This role requires a Secret clearance and adherence to DOD 8750 requirements.

What you'll do

Develops and manages ServiceNow applications and modules, including system integration and service automation.
Leads or mentors junior developers on agile teams for ServiceNow implementations.
Designs and evaluates system specifications to ensure hardware/software compatibility.
Builds customized ServiceNow applications using various software engineering techniques.
Participates in full SDLC processes, from systems modeling to testing and debugging.
Acts as a liaison between parties to resolve technical issues and support needs.

What we're looking for

5+ years of technical experience in software development.
Secret clearance and DOD 8750 compliance required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Proficient in ServiceNow development, including core ITSM tables and scripting.
Experience with web development technologies (XHTML, CSS3, SQL, XML) and at least two backend languages.
Intermediate knowledge of software engineering principles and associated hardware/software systems.
Knowledge of ServiceNow update sets and deployment processes.
