Senior Systems Software Engineer, GeForce NOW Cloud

What you'll do

• Design, build, and scale distributed cloud-based systems for a high-performance SaaS/PaaS platform.
• Develop and scale RESTful, gRPC, MCP APIs and backend services.
• Influence the technology stack, architecture, and development methodology for cloud services.
• Drive automation, monitoring, and performance tuning for cloud infrastructure.
• Build and maintain scalable test harnesses to validate system performance at scale.
• Write testable, maintainable, and performant codebases using Java, Golang, and Python.
• Manage container orchestration using Kubernetes, ECS, and OpenStack.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence across the organization.

What we're looking for

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 12+ years of hands-on industry experience delivering SaaS/PaaS.
• Proven experience developing and scaling RESTful, gRPC, MCP APIs and backend services.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and distributed system design including high reliability, fault tolerance, scalability, and observability.
• Demonstrated skills in Java, Golang, and Python.
• Experience with Spring Boot/Java-based microservices architecture and Golang Kubernetes operators.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, OpenStack), NoSQL databases (Cassandra), and Redis.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality distributed systems with a strong sense of ownership and operational excellence (preferred).
