As a Senior Staff Technical Compliance Manager at Credit Karma, you will join a dynamic team of security engineers in Charlotte, North Carolina, tasked with enhancing the company’s cloud-based security infrastructure. Your role involves leading strategic initiatives to mitigate and remediate security risks across multi-/hybrid-cloud environments, implementing security controls using cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. You will perform scripting and coding to build automated security tooling, conduct code reviews, and advocate for new security products that address emerging threats. With expertise in applied cryptography, IAM, network security, or vulnerability management, you will define and document security standards while operating in a Tier 0 environment with rigorous on-call responsibilities.
Lead strategic initiatives to mitigate and remediate security risks across the organization.
Implement and instrument security controls in cloud infrastructure to enhance security posture.
Develop and automate security tooling using scripting and coding for efficient operations.
Deploy security baseline controls with Terraform, conduct code reviews, and recommend improvements.
Research and advocate new technologies to address emerging threat vectors and support security strategies.
Lead the Applied Cryptography function focusing on PKI, key lifecycle management, and secrets/vault management.
Define and document security standards for cloud infrastructure operations in a rigorous environment.
What we're looking for
10+ years of experience in Security Engineering with a focus on cloud infrastructure, IAM, and application security.
Strong understanding of network architecture, web application security, and multi-tier web applications.
Expertise in operating Tier 0 systems in production environments that are customer and revenue impacting.
Professional knowledge of Golang or Java and experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and CI/CD toolsets.
Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives for mitigating and remediating security risks across the organization.
Experience implementing and instrumenting security controls and tooling in cloud infrastructure environments.
