What you'll do

Design and implement DevOps practices for database management systems.
Automate database deployment, scaling, and management processes using scripting and configuration management tools.
Implement monitoring and alerting tools to ensure database performance and availability.
Support software development teams by integrating database operations into CI/CD pipelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues and technical problems.
Manage backup, recovery, and data archival processes for all database systems.
Ensure all database systems meet established security and compliance standards.
Develop well-designed, testable code to improve the efficiency of database operations.

What we're looking for

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance with potential for TS/SCI.
Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, a Graduate degree with 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Demonstrated experience as a Database Engineer or in a similar role.
Experience with Linux System Administration, preferably in Red Hat or derivatives.
Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Oracle.
Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization.
