Senior Solution Architect, Traffic Infrastructure ASE

What you'll do

• Gather and clarify traffic, load balancing, and service mesh requirements from customer engineering teams.
• Design ingress and egress integration patterns for customer Kubernetes deployments.
• Advise customers on Envoy configuration and service mesh adoption best practices.
• Identify product feature gaps and work with engineering teams to prioritize and close them.
• Produce technical solution designs, migration plans, and documentation for customer execution.
• Review customer integration designs for correctness, resiliency, and adherence to best practices.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for customers facing integration issues.
• Create internal documentation and reference architectures to scale solutioning beyond 1:1 engagements.

What we're looking for

• Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and TLS/mTLS.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, specifically ingress and egress traffic patterns.
• Working knowledge of Envoy and other service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd.
• Strong ability to gather requirements from customers and translate ambiguity into clear technical plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical solutions to engineers of varying seniority.
• Experience with load balancing strategies, service discovery, and rate limiting at scale (preferred).
• Experience with distributed systems design and analyzing systems for performance or reliability issues (preferred).
• Experience with traffic solutions over 3rd-party cloud providers (preferred).
