Senior, Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and develop highly scalable backend services for Walmart's Catalog platform using Java.
• Solve complex software systems problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology to enhance user experiences.
• Troubleshoot business and production issues, conducting root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members within an Agile environment.
• Participate in cross-functional projects, translating requirements into robust and scalable architectures.

What we're looking for

• Expert-level knowledge in Java for building backend systems.
• Experience with Spring Boot and reactive frameworks like Spring WebFlux and Project Reactor.
• Proficiency in internet-scale distributed technologies such as Solr, Kafka, and Mem Cache.
• Deep understanding of Spark engine and cloud-based solutions.
• Strong skills in microservices architecture, DevOps practices, and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with GenAI best practices for code analysis, testing frameworks, performance monitoring, and data pipelines.
• Extensive knowledge of offline storage, caching, and performance tuning techniques.
