Senior Software Engineer, Machine Learning Platform

What you'll do

• Build and optimize a next-generation machine learning and simulation platform to improve scale and performance.
• Develop high-quality software applications that enable the business to apply machine learning models effectively.
• Create self-service tooling for ML teams to register features and deploy models independently.
• Deliver data and feature infrastructure including definition, storage, serving, and offline-to-online parity.
• Design and contribute to simulation systems that accurately reflect production environments to reduce costs.
• Mentor other engineers on distributed systems, MLOps, and scalable architecture.
• Translate complex requirements from ML, product, and engineering leadership into technical specifications for partners.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building and maintaining backend software services and APIs.
• Experience with distributed systems or large scale data processing using Spark, Databricks, Ray, or equivalent.
• Experience with an ML platform or the ML production path including training pipelines, model serving, and feature pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, Kotlin, Databricks, and AWS.
• Skill with Metaflow, MLflow, gRPC, Spark/PySpark, dbt, Ray, and GPU (preferred).
• Knowledge of simulation, experimentation, or backtesting systems (preferred).
• Experience building self-serve or configuration driven tooling for internal users (preferred).
