As a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer on Netflix’s Analysis team, you will design and build next-generation experiment analysis tooling that powers A/B testing across the platform. Your daily tasks include maintaining real-time and batch analysis workflows for experiments, ensuring system reliability through observability instrumentation, and collaborating with various teams to define clear data contracts. You will also partner closely with product engineering teams to simplify experimentation processes and enhance monitoring capabilities. Ideal candidates possess a deep understanding of distributed systems, experience in building reliable backend services, strong coding skills, and the ability to work effectively across functions. What we're looking for
Extensive experience in building and operating reliable distributed systems
Deep understanding of experimentation lifecycle, risks, and data science/statistics
Proficiency in backend technologies including Flink, Spark, Elasticsearch, and Druid
Strong coding skills with a focus on high-quality code and operational rigor
Experience in monitoring, debugging, and improving performance of production services
Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and cross-functional teams
Expertise in designing and implementing scalable observability solutions
