As a Senior Software Engineer at KION GROUP, you will join an international and multicultural team developing the Fleet Management System stackfleet, contributing to its continuous development and ensuring robustness and scalability. You will participate in all stages of product lifecycle management, from requirements definition to deployment oversight, and actively contribute to the team’s operational efficiency and engineering capabilities. Ideal candidates have a master’s degree or equivalent experience in Informatics or Computer Science, with 5+ years of software development experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in English. Experience with .NET, graph-based mathematics, UI performance optimization, and agile methodologies is beneficial, as is familiarity with the intralogistics industry.

What you'll do

Lead by example to enhance engineering standards and guidelines through code reviews and automated tests.

Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, providing hands-on feedback to improve their skills.
Contribute to the Development Chapter by establishing coding standards and improving engineering capabilities.

What we're looking for

5+ years of relevant software development experience
Master’s degree in Informatics or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Experience working autonomously and in cross-functional teams
Professional proficiency in English
Experience with agile software development methodologies preferred
Relevant industry experience in intralogistics, warehouse automation, or material handling preferred
