Senior Software Engineer, Compute Platform

What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate Kubernetes cluster management tooling and automation for a reliable, self-healing platform.
• Develop developer-facing tools and workflows that integrate AI-driven processes into the Kubernetes experience.
• Deliver new compute capabilities such as cron scheduling, deployment strategies, and automated resource right-sizing.
• Automate manual tasks to reduce on-call burden and improve platform observability and incident response.
• Partner with Security, Reliability, and Observability teams to ensure infrastructure meets high performance standards.
• Build and ship production-grade infrastructure services using Go, Python, or Java.
• Implement AI tools into infrastructure workflows to improve automation and developer productivity.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years building and operating Kubernetes or similar compute orchestration systems like Mesos, Nomad, or ECS.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java for building production-grade infrastructure services.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP infrastructure services in a production environment at scale.
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating distributed infrastructure systems including root-cause resolution of complex failures.
• Hands-on experience with the CNCF ecosystem, including Helm, Prometheus, ArgoCD, and Envoy.
• Proven ability to apply AI tooling to infrastructure workflows for automation and developer productivity.
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs.
