Senior Software Engineer, ASE Data Platform

What you'll do

• Design and build scalable systems to enforce data privacy, governance, and compliance policies.
• Develop services for data classification, lineage tracking, and auditability to ensure data visibility.
• Implement fine-grained access controls and policy enforcement mechanisms for GDPR and CCPA compliance.
• Build automated frameworks for compliance monitoring, anomaly detection, and reporting.
• Translate regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions with legal, security, and engineering teams.
• Create tools and dashboards to provide transparency into data access, usage, and risk exposure.
• Optimize data systems for secure and efficient processing at a global scale.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience building scalable distributed systems or data platforms.
• Strong programming skills in at least one of: Java, Scala, Python, or Go.
• Hands-on experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Flink, Kafka, or similar.
• Experience designing and implementing secure systems, including authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data pipelines, and storage systems like SQL/NoSQL, data lakes, or warehouses.
• Familiarity with data privacy and compliance requirements, including GDPR and CCPA.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) and containerized environments like Kubernetes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
