Senior Software Engineer, Agentic Ads Experience

What you'll do

• Design and ship end-to-end AI features like campaign assistants and creative generation from prototype to general availability.
• Make architectural decisions regarding LLM usage, including choosing between single-shot calls, workflows, retrieval systems, or agent loops.
• Build reliable systems by implementing structured outputs, tool boundaries, retries, cost controls, and human-in-the-loop guardrails.
• Define offline and online evaluations to connect model performance metrics to advertiser and business outcomes.
• Ensure safety and trust by designing for data isolation, permissioning, and policy compliance in AI actions.
• Translate ambiguous problems into concrete systems by collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Write clear technical design documents and communicate complex trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer shipping and operating production systems.
• Hands-on experience building generative AI applications including structured outputs, tool calling, RAG, and model routing.
• Experience defining evals and measurement for AI systems using offline datasets and online metrics.
• Strong systems fundamentals including APIs, distributed systems, queues, data stores, and observability.
• Extensive software development experience in at least one general purpose language such as Python, Golang, Rust, Java, or JavaScript.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex AI trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in Ads, marketing technology, marketplaces, growth, recommendations, search, or analytics (preferred).
• Experience building AI systems where mistakes are expensive or internal workflow automation for operations (preferred).
