Senior Software Engineer, Ads Platform - Experimentation

What you'll do

• Design and build large-scale distributed software systems for machine learning experimentation.
• Develop tools for managing multivariate A/B test experiments and exploratory analysis.
• Engineer systems for real-time monitoring of experiment behavior while preserving user privacy.
• Implement and evolve features of a multivariate experimentation platform for predictive algorithms.
• Execute the experimentation roadmap using data-driven prioritization and business requirements.
• Build automated data pipelines and event stream processing systems using technologies like Spark or Kafka.
• Apply statistical and causal inference techniques to analyze data quality and business metrics.
• Promote experimentation best practices and observability standards across the organization.

What we're looking for

• Skilled at designing and building complex large-scale and distributed software systems in cloud computing environments like AWS.
• Strong experience in Experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and Machine Learning methodologies.
• Fluency in programming languages like Java, Scala, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with event stream processing technologies like Spark Streaming, Kafka, Flink, or equivalent.
• Experience with backend object stores, automated data pipelines, cloud-native data storage, and processing frameworks.
• Familiarity with data-oriented workflow orchestration frameworks like Airflow or Kubeflow.
• Familiarity with statistics and data analysis techniques to understand data quality and system performance.
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, or related field (preferred); 5+ years of industry experience designing and maintaining web-scale production systems (preferred).
