JOB TITLE: Senior Software Architect - Data Center Systems The Senior Software Architect - Data Center Systems joins the Data Center SW team to lead software activities for deep learning server platforms from design through production. You will drive system architecture for complex server platforms in a multi-functional environment, partnering across application software, libraries, system software, and firmware teams to design complete solutions. Key responsibilities include developing technology roadmaps, mentoring engineering teams, and making technical decisions regarding complex inter-component dependencies. You must possess deep expertise in designing scalable and performant server systems at the software and hardware interface. Required skills include knowledge of Out of Band and In-band management architectures, HPC or deep learning workloads, and device management protocols like Redfish, IPMI, MCTP, PLDM, and RDE.

What you'll do

Lead software activities for deep learning server platforms from initial design through production.
Drive the system architecture for complex server platforms in a multi-functional environment.
Partner with application, system, and firmware teams to design complete software solutions.
Work directly with major customers to align their requirements with the product roadmap.
Develop a roadmap of new technologies and protocols and drive their design and adoption.
Mentor architects and engineering teams to grow them into future leaders.
Make key technical decisions for designs involving complex inter-component dependencies.

What we're looking for

BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in system architecture and design.
Deep experience designing architecture for scalable and performant server systems, particularly at the SW/HW interface.
Understanding of HPC or Deep Learning workloads and the use of accelerated computing platforms.
Expertise in Out of Band and In-band management architectures.
Knowledge of server system architecture and the performance implications of architecture decisions on end applications.
Demonstrable experience in implementing a left shift strategy to de-risk program execution.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
