Senior Research Scientist, Battlespace Awareness

What you'll do

• Create mathematically principled solutions for complex information science problems.
• Prototype state-of-the-art algorithms within an agile development environment.
• Implement high-performance software ranging from tactical systems to web applications.
• Use modeling, simulation environments, and compute clusters to quantify technology benefits.
• Engage with customers to ensure successful outcomes for mission-critical needs.
• Communicate technical details of advanced technologies to both expert and non-expert audiences.

What we're looking for

• Must possess an M.S. or Ph.D. in Applied/Computational Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Controls and Dynamical Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in applied mathematics including differential equations, linear algebra, numerical analysis, and optimization.
• Experience in engineering fields such as controls, estimation theory, digital signal processing, and machine learning.
• Proficiency in scientific computing involving software design, algorithm implementation, and software testing/optimization.
• Knowledge of probability, statistics, and random processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain advanced technology to both experts and non-experts.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
