As a Senior Research Scientist, Battlespace Awareness, you will join a small, innovative team to develop state-of-the-art algorithms and software for mission-critical systems. You will be responsible for creating mathematically principled solutions to complex information science problems, prototyping algorithms in an agile environment, and implementing high-performance software ranging from tactical systems to web applications. Your daily work involves using high-fidelity modeling and simulation environments, analysis tools, and compute clusters to quantify technology benefits while communicating technical details to both experts and non-experts. What we're looking for
Must possess an M.S. or Ph.D. in Applied or Computational Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Controls and Dynamical Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Statistics and Probability, or a related field.
Must have a record of academic excellence in applied mathematics including differential equations, linear algebra, numerical analysis, and optimization.
Must have experience in engineering fields such as controls, estimation theory, digital signal processing, and machine learning.
Must possess expertise in scientific computing, including software design, algorithm implementation, and software testing/optimization.
Must have a background in probability involving statistics and random processes.
Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills to convey advanced technology to both experts and non-experts.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
