Join our dynamic team as a Senior Propulsion Engineer, focusing on the integration of Solid Rocket Motors (SRMs) and related systems in missile platforms and air vehicles. You will lead or contribute significantly to the design, fabrication, and testing of prototype components, structural interfaces, and thrust vectoring systems, while also coordinating with vendors for strategic partnerships and managing development projects. Essential skills include 8+ years of propulsion engineering experience on tactical missiles, a strong grasp of solid rocket motor ballistics and propellant chemistry, proficiency in 3D CAD design, and familiarity with static fire testing methods. Preferred qualifications are hands-on experience with SRM testing, knowledge of TVC systems, and expertise in NX/Teamcenter, Python, or MATLAB. This role demands a secret security clearance and an understanding of high-temperature materials and manufacturing techniques.

What you'll do

  • Lead the selection and integration of Solid Rocket Motors (SRMs) on missile platforms.
  • Design and test prototype components for SRM systems, including structural interfaces and thrust vectoring.
  • Plan and execute ground static fire tests for solid rocket propulsion systems.
  • Coordinate with SRM vendors to develop strategic partnerships and manage projects.
  • Support CAD design for structural integration of motor cases, nozzles, and blast tubes.

What we're looking for

  • Strong understanding of solid rocket motor ballistics and propellant chemistry.
  • Proven ability to design complex mechanical parts using 3D CAD software.
  • Experience in static fire testing and environmental qualification of rocket motors.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing methods including machining, composites, and high-temperature materials.
  • Active U.S. Secret security clearance required.
