As a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer in the Facilities & Engineering (F&E) Automation team, you will collaborate closely with the capital project team to develop and maintain robust automation systems for new plant utilities and standalone equipment using platforms like Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs integrated with Emerson DeltaV. Your daily tasks include designing SCADA systems, Trailblazer reporting tools, and HMIs, leading system implementation and start-up, and providing technical guidance on control panel layout and design. You will also drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency and sustainability, working closely with business partners to enhance workflow and productivity through innovative automation solutions. Additionally, you will handle ongoing operations such as root cause analysis, incident investigations, NPI support, and 24/7 onsite/on-call technical assistance, requiring expertise in Rockwell industrial automation hardware, OPC, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, and DeviceNet technologies.

What you'll do
Develop and maintain automation solutions using various PLCs and integrate with Emerson DeltaV system.
Lead standalone system implementation and start-up, providing technical guidance in control panel layout and design.
Collaborate with business partners to improve workflow and productivity through innovative automation solutions.
Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues on standalone systems for efficient operations.
Support new product introductions by performing automation engineering assessments and implementing configuration changes.
What we're looking for
Extensive experience in PLC design and troubleshooting for GMP biopharmaceutical production.
Strong background in programming, installation, and lifecycle management of standalone controls and field devices.
Proficiency with Rockwell industrial automation hardware and systems, including OPC, Foundation Fieldbus, and DeviceNet technologies.
Hands-on experience developing process control strategies for new product introductions and technology deployments.
Expertise in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, reliability, and productivity in drug substance plant operations.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Biotech Engineering required.
