JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer, AI Agent Platform
As a Senior Software Engineer on the AI Agent Platform team, you will design, build, and own core components of an enterprise-wide platform for agentic workflows. You will develop several distributed systems, including an agent harness for durable execution, a retrieval-augmented generation platform for grounding agents in enterprise knowledge, an insight engine for capturing operational signals, an evaluation harness for measuring quality, and a skills marketplace for reusable capabilities. You will work across the full backend stack using Python, Java, or Go. Key responsibilities include managing production health, defining SLIs and SLOs, and ensuring system reliability through observability and load testing. This role solves the technical challenge of building scalable, multi-tenant infrastructure that supports diverse business workflows ranging from claims and underwriting to internal associate tools.

Strong distributed systems fundamentals, including concurrency, consistency, fault tolerance, data modeling, API design, and scalability.
Experience operating production services with CI/CD, automated testing, and Kubernetes or other container platforms.
Hands-on operational experience supporting production systems, including observability, monitoring, alerting, on-call participation, incident response, and postmortems.
Experience scaling systems or improving reliability, such as meeting SLOs, performance tuning, capacity planning, or eliminating recurring failure modes.
Background in application, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
