As a Senior Linux Software Engineer - Chip System Software, you will join the Chip System Software team to develop Linux platform software for next-generation AI-RAN and Software-Defined RAN solutions. You will build and maintain customer-ready Linux distributions, installation images, and software packages while integrating NVIDIA technologies with Canonical Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux platforms. Your daily responsibilities include developing build automation, managing CI/CD pipelines, and performing kernel and BSP validation for commercial SoC platforms. You will troubleshoot complex issues involving kernels, drivers, and software integration while collaborating with silicon vendors and internal teams. The role requires expertise in Linux operating systems, kernel architecture, system internals, and package management using Debian or RPM. Essential skills include Git, release engineering, and the ability to resolve platform-related bugs within a production-ready software environment for AI products.
Build and maintain customer-ready Linux distributions and installation images (ISO).
Integrate NVIDIA software, drivers, and third-party components into Ubuntu and RHEL platforms.
Develop and maintain build automation, CI/CD pipelines, and software release processes.
Configure, integrate, and validate Linux kernels and BSPs for commercial SoC platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Linux platform, kernel, drivers, and software integration.
Collaborate with external partners like Canonical and Red Hat to enable new platform capabilities.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
12+ years of experience developing Linux system software or platform software.
Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, kernel architecture, and system internals.
Experience with Linux package management (Debian/Ubuntu and/or RPM), software integration, and release engineering.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and software build systems.
Experience debugging Linux kernel, boot, driver, or platform-related issues.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience with Canonical Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), kernel configuration, BSP integration, or commercial SoC platforms (preferred).
