The Senior Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack (Global Payment Network) joins the Global Payment Network technology organization to design and operate critical payment infrastructure. You will collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions for high-throughput, secure global transaction processing. Your daily work involves solving challenges in distributed systems, resiliency, scalability, and observability. You will utilize a technical stack including JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, alongside Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and various AWS tools and services to modernize the payment ecosystem.

What you'll do

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers.

Write and evaluate code using languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, and Go.
Manage container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes.
Design and operate high-throughput, secure global transaction processing infrastructure.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and share technical expertise.

What we're looking for

At least 6 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
Master’s Degree (preferred)
9+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, or Go (preferred)
4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service (preferred)
4+ years of experience in open source frameworks (preferred)
1+ years of people management experience (preferred)
