Senior Lead Software Engineer, Agentic AI

What you'll do

• Design and build critical technology solutions for Chase AI components including Agent Operating Memory and Domain Agents.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with existing systems.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring all design constraints are met.
• Analyze large data sets to develop visualizations and reporting that drive continuous software improvement.
• Identify hidden patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and overall system architecture.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Ensure all software solutions comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Coach engineers on the safe, compliant adoption of responsible AI within engineering workflows.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience building complex scalable applications or agentic systems.
• Hands-on experience building agentic systems using LLMs/SLMs.
• Experience setting up and maintaining MCP servers and building MCP-compatible tools/adapters.
• Proficiency in coding in Java and/or Python.
• Proficiency building production services with Spring AI, Spring ecosystem, or Python (FastAPI/Flask).
• Solid AWS background with working knowledge of ECS/EKS, Docker, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins/CodeBuild).
• Strong API design skills (REST/OpenAPI; gRPC) and familiarity with observability stacks.
• Practical understanding of LLM patterns including RAG, function calling, and safety guardrails.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Expertise with distributed orchestration patterns for LLM applications (preferred).
• Experience with safe rollout strategies like shadowing, A/B testing, and canary rollouts (preferred).
• Knowledge of API gateways, service mesh, and multi-region high availability (preferred).
• Familiarity with data privacy and regulatory compliance in financial services (preferred).
• Experience with performance optimization and reliability engineering for large-scale systems (preferred).
• Ability to evaluate and integrate third-party tools and frameworks (preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership in technical communities or open source contributions (preferred).
