The Senior Lead AI Engineer (MLXT) joins the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team to drive technical initiatives for enterprise AIML infrastructure within a highly regulated environment. This role focuses on modernizing the core Analyst and AIML workflow orchestration layer and user interface by integrating frontier generative AI capabilities and self-serve tooling. You will build agentic-driven infrastructure, scale managed AutoML offerings for tabular and time-series data, and engineer automated governance frameworks. Key responsibilities include developing low-code and no-code tools for business domain experts to democratize model development. Required technical skills include proficiency in Python, Go, Scala, or Java, along with experience in LLM inference, similarity search, vector databases, and optimizing training and inference software for hardware utilization, latency, throughput, and cost.
Modernize the workflow orchestration layer and user interface with generative AI capabilities.
Develop self-serve, low-code/no-code tools to democratize AI development for business domain experts.
Build reliable and scalable agentic infrastructure that adheres to enterprise security guardrails.
Scale enterprise-grade managed AutoML offerings for tabular and time-series data.
Engineer automated governance frameworks as part of the core component marketplace.
Optimize training and inference software to improve hardware utilization, latency, and throughput.
Apply novel AI research techniques and scientific publications to production environments.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus 6 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus 4 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
At least 6 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
7 years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (preferred).
Experience designing, developing, integrating, delivering, and supporting complex AI systems (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor an engineering team and influence cross-functional stakeholders (preferred).
Experience developing AI and ML algorithms like LLM Inference, Similarity Search, and VectorDBs using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang (preferred).
Experience optimizing training and inference software to improve hardware utilization, latency, throughput, and cost (preferred).
