The Senior IT Developer – SAP ABAP will join KION North America’s IT team as a key leader in designing and executing projects using SAP SD ABAP development within SAP ECC, collaborating closely with functional stakeholders to support 17 business processes. This role involves creating and maintaining programs and documentation for ERP development, system integration, and EDI, requiring expertise in SAP ABAP technologies such as Object-Oriented Programming and core modules like FI, CO, SD, MM, PP & WM. The developer will also work on data migration projects using LSMW, BDCs, BAPI’s, IDOC’s, and RESTful programming models while ensuring seamless integration with other systems through API development and SAP NetWeaver PI. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience in ERP technical skills and integration, a multi-site manufacturing background, and are SAP Certified Development Professionals.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement SAP ABAP programs for ERP development.
  • Maintain system integration using SAP NetWeaver Process Integration technologies.
  • Develop and enhance migration objects for data migration projects.
  • Provide technical vision by collaborating with internal teams on project trade-offs.
  • Create interfaces, enhancements, workflow, user exits, and other SAP components.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of proven SAP ABAP development experience
  • Strong knowledge of SAP interfaces, enhancements, workflow, and user exits
  • Experience in data migration projects using LSMW, BDCs, BAPI’s, IDOC’s
  • Collaborative work with internal teams to establish technical vision
  • SAP Certified Development Professional in a given ABAP area required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
