What you'll do

  • Develop innovative solutions for syncing health data across multiple Apple platforms.
  • Design and tune features for high performance on power-constrained devices.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive test suites in collaboration with QA and engineering teams.
  • Design and deliver scalable, forward-thinking APIs to meet developer needs.
  • Perform peer reviews of architecture, API designs, and individual software changes.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams regarding privacy, security, and design.
  • Develop features for the Health app and the underlying HealthKit framework.

What we're looking for

  • BS Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
  • 8 years of experience working in Objective-C, Swift, C++, or similar high-level programming languages.
  • Solid background in object-oriented architecture and design.
  • Deep understanding of systems-level concepts like multi-threading and interprocess communication.
  • Expertise with debugging tools, performance tuning, and Apple technologies such as Grand Central Dispatch, CloudKit, or XPC.
  • Experience delivering libraries, frameworks, or APIs and experience with distributed systems design.
  • Experience with SQL and database technologies (preferred); familiarity with Fitness, Wellness, or Medical concepts (preferred).
