Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Streaming, Caching, DBaaS

What you'll do

• Design and operate mission-critical distributed data services like Kafka and Redis across Kubernetes and multi-cloud environments.
• Build automated, self-service infrastructure to ensure cloud portability across AWS, GCP, and air-gapped on-premise sites.
• Manage and scale data infrastructure to handle petabytes of daily ingestion with high throughput and low latency.
• Consolidate and optimize multi-tenant Kafka clusters to improve resilience and reduce operational costs.
• Automate the lifecycle of distributed data services using GitOps principles, Terraform, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions.
• Establish standards for observability, high availability, backup, and disaster recovery for Kubernetes workloads.
• Partner with FinOps and engineering teams to optimize performance and cost across all data platform components.

What we're looking for

• Experience in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering operating distributed systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience with self-hosted Kafka and/or Redis running in Kubernetes environments.
• Expertise in performance tuning, scaling, and operator-based lifecycle management for data services.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals for managing stateless and stateful workloads.
• Production expertise in at least one major cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and ArgoCD.
• Proficiency in GitOps practices and CI/CD workflow automation using GitHub Actions.
• Strong scripting or development skills in Python, Go, or Ruby.
