Senior HPC Storage Architect & Engineer

What you'll do

• Design large-scale storage architectures for specialized HPC workloads.
• Build automated data pipelines between on-premise infrastructure and cloud platforms.
• Implement NetApp FlexCache to provide low-latency access to datasets globally.
• Ensure hardened storage systems comply with corporate security guidelines.
• Perform benchmarking to eliminate bottlenecks in the storage fabric.
• Design high-availability configurations for mission-critical research data.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of Storage Engineering experience, with at least 6 years in HPC environments.
• Expert-level mastery of parallel file systems like Lustre or IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS) in Petabyte-scale deployments.
• Proven expertise with modern storage solutions such as VAST Data or WEKA in high-performance NVMe/Flash-first environments.
• Advanced skills with NetApp ONTAP, including hybrid cloud workflows using FlexCache and SnapMirror.
• Experience managing infrastructure as code using automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or SaltStack.
• Deep knowledge of HPC interconnects such as InfiniBand, RoCE, and high-speed Ethernet (100GbE+).
• Demonstrated ability to implement storage security best practices including Kerberos, LDAP integration, and SEC-compliant data immutability.
