What you'll do

  • Lead incident response during database performance issues and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Build monitoring and alerting systems to ensure operational excellence of database environments.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL experience in high-volume production environments.
  • Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals including WAL, MVCC, and query planner.
  • Production experience with MySQL, focusing on InnoDB internals and replication.
  • Advanced SQL skills and expertise in schema design and query optimization.
  • Experience building automation tools using Go or Python for database tasks.
  • Hands-on work with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and pg\_stat\_statements.
  • Practical knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
