Senior Data Security Engineer (Remote Opportunity)

What you'll do

• Design and implement DLP controls across multiple platforms including email, endpoint, cloud, web, and collaboration tools.
• Engineer custom DLP detections using regex, EDM, IDM, classifiers, and contextual telemetry to enhance detection fidelity.
• Own the full lifecycle of DLP policies from creation through deployment, tuning, version control, and change management.
• Analyze and triage DLP alerts, perform root cause analysis, and recommend mitigation strategies for insider risk events.
• Build automation workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools to improve visibility into data movement and program performance.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in information security with at least 3 years focused on DLP engineering and data protection.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise DLP platforms like Symantec DLP, Proofpoint DLP, or Microsoft Purview.
• Strong ability to design and tune DLP policies to enhance signal quality and minimize false positives/negatives.
• Experience investigating DLP alerts, conducting root cause analysis, and supporting incident response workflows.
• Excellent communication skills for developing documentation, playbooks, metrics, and stakeholder reporting.
• Understanding of data protection concepts across structured/unstructured data in endpoint, email, cloud, and collaboration environments.
