Leidos seeks an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join a dynamic team supporting cloud-based applications and infrastructure on a secure network. The ISSE will collaborate with developers, system engineers, and other specialists in daily Agile meetings, conducting security scans, analyzing vulnerabilities, and participating in technical exchange meetings. Key responsibilities include implementing NIST SP 800-53 controls, creating secure configurations per DISA STIGs, and performing continuous monitoring to ensure compliance with A&A requirements. The role demands expertise in Linux CLI, scripting languages like BASH and Python, networking fundamentals, and Agile methodologies. Desired skills encompass relevant certifications, experience with IaC tools such as Ansible or Terraform, and familiarity with AWS cloud environments.
Identify and implement NIST SP 800-53 security controls.
Develop secure configuration baselines per DISA STIGs and CIS benchmarks.
Perform continuous monitoring activities to support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements.
Conduct vulnerability scanning and analysis of cloud-based systems.
Interface with Information System Security Managers to develop and accredit the system.
Participate in technical exchange meetings, document outcomes, and brief management.
What we're looking for
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
At least 8 years of experience in information systems security or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hands-on experience with Linux (CLI) and scripting languages like BASH and Python.
Solid understanding and practical experience with NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, and Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs).
Experience working on teams utilizing Agile workflows and processes.
Strong communication, organizational, and writing skills to articulate findings and recommendations.
