What you'll do

  • Run end-to-end proof-of-concept validation for new ML platform capabilities before they are deployed to Data Scientist teams.
  • Attend planning and design sessions with DS teams to identify workflow pain points and translate them into reusable MLOps requirements.
  • Design and own the Model Evaluation Framework, defining metrics and evaluation pipelines for various use cases on Vertex AI.
  • Build model-type-aware Feature Store schemas and endpoint configurations that accommodate different ML models' needs.
  • Lead benchmarking of Nordstrom’s platform against industry standards to ensure feature parity, cost efficiency, and ergonomic design.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a technical field related to Data Science required.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience delivering production models across various ML types.
  • Deep expertise in model evaluation and feature store design.
  • Proficiency in Python with strong ML code writing skills.
