What you'll do

Design and implement logical and physical data structures within the MIR Data Layer.
Optimize schemas, indexes, and access patterns for high performance and scalability.
Implement event-driven data processing using SQL Service Broker queues and services.
Ensure audit data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Support cloud migration efforts for the MIR Data Layer to managed platforms.
Debug complex production issues related to performance degradation and resource contention.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident resolution for the MIR Data Layer.

What we're looking for

5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server in high-volume environments
Expertise in designing and implementing complex, high-performance relational data structures
Practical knowledge of SQL Service Broker for asynchronous processing and troubleshooting
Experience with Memory-Optimized Tables (In-Memory OLTP) for performance-critical paths
Proficiency in .NET/C# for efficient database interaction and debugging data-access issues
Demonstrated ability to resolve production data issues, including query performance bottlenecks and deadlocks
Familiarity with cloud-managed SQL platforms like AWS RDS and Azure SQL
